Program Learning Outcomes
1. Apply Knowledge of Natural and Cultural Heritage: Student will gain a comprehensive understanding of natural, historical, and cultural heritage, including the significance of various sites, artifacts, and ecosystems and illustrate how heritage is communicated and used in society, understanding the role of heritage in contemporary contexts.
2. Demonstrate Interpretive Skills: Students will learn to create engaging and meaningful interpretive experiences for diverse audiences, using various media and techniques, from a broad range of artifacts, texts, buildings, landscapes, and behaviors of cultures around the world, with an emphasis on our own unique region.
3. Employ Ethical and Inclusive Interpretation Practices: Students will practice ethical interpretation by incorporating diverse perspectives and fostering inclusivity in their coursework, respecting the cultural sensitivities and historical accuracy of the heritage they interpret.
4. Practice Responsible Stewardship of Heritage Resources: Students will understand how to use interpretation as a tool for advocating and supporting the conservation and preservation of heritage sites, exhibiting knowledge of conservation principles and sustainable practices.
