Program Learning Outcomes

1. Students will identify, surgical instrumentation.

2. Students will demonstrate knowledge of various surgical procedures, including the steps involved, instruments used, and the roles of surgical team members.

3. Students will be able to apply infection control protocols and sterile techniques to maintain a safe surgical environment and prevent postoperative infections.

4. Students will develop effective communication skills to collaborate with surgical teams, patients, and other healthcare professionals in a clinical setting.

5. Students will demonstrate the ability to think critically and solve problems in high-pressure surgical situations, adapting to changing circumstances as needed.

6. Students will understand the importance of patient safety and will be able to assist in providing compassionate care before, during, and after surgery.
