Program Learning Outcomes
1. Graduates will demonstrate the ability to respond effectively to fire emergencies, including the application of fire suppression techniques, rescue operations, and hazardous materials management, in accordance with New Mexico state regulations.
2. Graduates will be capable of developing and delivering fire prevention education programs to diverse communities, promoting safety and compliance with state fire codes and regulations.
3. Graduates will exhibit leadership skills in managing fireground operations, including the ability to assume command, make strategic decisions, and coordinate with other emergency services in line with New Mexico state protocols.
4. Graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to conduct thorough fire investigations, determining the cause and origin of fires while adhering to legal and ethical standards mandated by the state.
5. Graduates will maintain a high level of physical fitness and mental resilience, enabling them to perform effectively under the strenuous conditions typical of fire service roles, meeting state standards for fitness and wellness.
